FAQWhat's included with the course?
The course manual is sent out in full - some 35,000 words / 135 pages. Hard copies are printed on premium paper using laser ink and professionally presented in a 4 D-ring binder. The CPD course is normally sent out within 24 hours of ordering, recorded delivery via Royal Mail.
You can now opt for an emailed version at a reduced cost. At present you cannot download the course immediately but all course material should be emailed to you within 24 hours. See Payments page for more details.
In addition you will receive support via telephone or email. If you are close enough you may be able to arrange a one to one session (additional charge applies).
What does the course involve?
Relaxation for Reflexology consists of 10 Modules and requires study of the course notes, short answer questions after each Module, practical work using the techniques on yourself, practical work using the techniques with a volunteer and a case study using the techniques with a reflexology volunteer. You are also required to submit an audio recording of a relaxation exercise. Those living close enough may arrange a one to one session (no additional charge). Several texts are suggested as background reading.
How many CPD Points can I earn?
Relaxation for Reflexology is approved by the Association of Reflexologists. This means you can earn 2 points per hour of study, but a maximum of 15 points from the course each year. AoR requires you to find 5 points per year from another source. You have 2 years in which to complete the course.
How long does it take to complete the course?
This varies from student to student. The course has been completed in 3 months - most students take longer - 6 to 12 months. I have estimated around 30 hours of study and practical work. As the course includes self development opportunities and reflective practice you may find the number of hours increases.
Do I have to be a member of AoR to enrol?
No, you do not need to be a member of AoR. Relaxation for Reflexology is open to all reflexologists, suitably qualified to practice, and students, anywhere in the world.
